How far do we deliver, and what does distance cost?
Our working radius runs to about 28 miles out of central New York City. Inside that, delivery is $75 to $200 and the number is driven by access far more than by mileage. A driveway in Levittown 27.7 miles out is a cheaper delivery than a walked-in placement on a Manhattan side street four blocks from the yard, because one takes ten minutes and the other takes an hour.
The other cost line is service frequency. ANSI/PSAI Z4.3 sets weekly servicing as the minimum for a unit in normal use, so that is the baseline everywhere we go. Busy sites get two or three visits a week, and the further out you are, the more that matters to the total. Full pricing is on the porta potty rental cost page.
The five boroughs
Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island are all core territory. New York City is five separate delivery problems under one name, and they are not the same job. Manhattan below 96th Street means restricted delivery windows, permit lead time and often a walked-in placement. Staten Island and eastern Queens are mostly driveways and lots, so same-day delivery is realistic there in a way it rarely is in Midtown.

New Jersey, west and northwest
Everything here is inside our normal routing. Distances are real driving miles from the city centre.
- Hoboken, NJ, 9.9 miles northwest, about 30 minutes. A dense mile-square city with very little off-street space, so most placements here are street-side and need the municipal permit checked first.
- Jersey City, NJ, 11.2 miles northwest, about 30 minutes. Hudson County's largest city and a heavy construction market, which makes it mostly a jobsite rental area for us.
- Union City, NJ, 11.9 miles northwest, about 33 minutes. One of the most densely populated cities in the country, sitting up on the Palisades. Access planning matters more here than the unit choice.
- North Bergen, NJ, 14.8 miles northwest, about 34 minutes. Township on the Palisades ridge with a mix of residential streets and industrial frontage along the waterfront.
- Newark, NJ, 16.3 miles west, about 38 minutes. New Jersey's largest city, with enough industrial and port-adjacent work that roll-off dumpsters and temporary fencing go out on the same trucks.
- Bayonne, NJ, 18.3 miles west, about 36 minutes. A peninsula between Newark Bay and the Kill Van Kull, so routing in is limited and worth confirming before a tight delivery window.
- Elizabeth, NJ, 19.9 miles west, about 40 minutes. Home to the Elizabeth side of the port complex, which means industrial placements and storage containers as often as event work.
- Paterson, NJ, 27.0 miles northwest, about 49 minutes. The furthest north-west point we run to on a normal schedule. Book a day earlier than you would in Hudson County.
Long Island, east and northeast
- Hempstead, NY, 19.8 miles east, about 33 minutes. Nassau County, with good truck access and plenty of driveway placements, so no permit question on most residential jobs.
- Freeport, NY, 19.9 miles east, about 33 minutes. A South Shore village with a working waterfront, which brings marina and event restroom work through the summer.
- North Hempstead, NY, 20.6 miles northeast, about 37 minutes. A large town covering many separate villages on the North Shore, so give us the village name rather than just the town.
- Levittown, NY, 27.7 miles east, about 43 minutes. A postwar planned community of single-family homes, which in practice means almost every job here is a driveway placement for a home renovation.
Do permits work the same outside New York City?
No, and this is the trap. Inside the city, a unit on a street or sidewalk needs a permit from the Department of Transportation, handled through borough offices, with turnaround from about a day to several weeks depending on the borough and the type of work. The NYC DOT Bureau of Permit Management and Construction Control at 55 Water Street runs it and 311 answers questions on it.
Cross the Hudson or the county line and every municipality sets its own rule and its own timeline. We check before delivery rather than guessing, and we will tell you if the answer is going to take more than a few days. What does not change anywhere is the clearance rule: the 2010 ADA Standards require a 36 inch minimum clear width on a pedestrian access route in section 403.5.1, and a standard unit is about 44 inches wide per manufacturer spec. What we deliver to every one of these places
The whole fleet travels. Standard units with a 60 to 70 gallon holding tank per manufacturer spec, deluxe flushable, and ADA accessible built around the 60 inch turning space the 2010 ADA Standards specify in section 304.3.1. Also restroom trailers, handwashing stations, dumpsters, storage containers, temporary fence and septic pumping where properties are not on sewer.
For crews, OSHA 1926.51(c)(1) requires one toilet per 20 workers on a 40-hour site regardless of which county you are standing in, so use how many porta potties you need to size the order before you call.
Not on the list?
Ask anyway. Some jobs outside the radius still work, particularly long-term jobsite rentals where one delivery covers months of use. Anything urgent goes through emergency porta potty rental.
