What kind of job is this, usually?
High-rise construction. Jersey City has more towers going up than anywhere else in Hudson County, and a tower crew is a very different customer from a backyard party. It moves with the work, and it needs servicing on a schedule that fits a site with one loading gate and a traffic plan attached to it.

How many units does a Jersey City crew need?
OSHA 1926.51(c)(1) requires one toilet per 20 workers on a construction site running a 40-hour week, and the ratio steps up beyond 20. It counts bodies on site rather than companies, so a tower with four subcontractors counts all four crews against the same ratio. The neighbourhoods do not behave the same
- Newport and the Exchange Place waterfront. Tower sites, hoist access, restricted delivery windows, units living inside a fenced perimeter. Simplest permit picture, hardest scheduling.
- Journal Square. Mixed low-rise and newer mid-rise, where street placement is more common and the city's own approval comes into play more often.
- Bergen-Lafayette and Greenville. More ground-level work, more driveways, more same-day drops that go exactly where you point.
- Liberty State Park. State-run parkland with its own event and vehicle access rules, so ask the park before you ask us. That work is event restroom rental.
What delivery costs at 11.2 miles
Delivery runs $75 to $150 into Jersey City, priced on access rather than mileage. A gate a truck can back through costs less than a walked-in placement, every time. No, and assuming it does is the most common scheduling mistake we see. A unit on a New York City street or sidewalk needs a permit from the Department of Transportation, handled through borough offices, with turnaround from about a day to several weeks. Jersey City sets its own street opening and obstruction rules through its own offices on its own clock. Two jobs eleven miles apart can end up with completely different lead times for the same piece of equipment.
